I love simple recipes. The kind where you can throw a few whole ingredients together to make the perfect food combination for a healthy, tasty snack. One day I created this delicious apple walnut salad as a snack and have been hooked ever since.
I occasionally make this salad recipe for a mid-morning snack or lunch, and you could easily create this in a larger portion as a side dish to any meal. The benefits of the high fiber from the apple and the health benefits of walnuts, make this a power packed food—you really can’t go wrong!
Apple Walnut Salad Recipe
- Firm tart apples sliced and chopped.
- Walnuts lightly chopped.
- Goat or Feta cheese crumbled.(I use Chavrie goat cheese for its mild flavor and creamy texture.)
- Agave or honey drizzled over apples, walnuts, and cheese
- Gently toss together and serve!
I hope you enjoy this apple walnut salad recipe and try it for yourself!

My mom used to make a dish called “Waldorf Salad”, that was similar to this. Apples, walnuts, raisins, and mayonnaise. Sounds like an odd combination, but it’s quite good, and my kids really love it.
oh yes we had Waldorf salad when I was growing up and ours even had celery in it. Sounds kind of strange, but yes it was good.
