I know I have kept so many of you hanging, wondering what we have been up to with the cottage farmhouse renovation. Quite honestly I just realized I need to do some updates! After my color choice of paint, I never showed you all what the finished product looked like.
So here you go…

Of course I am very happy with the end result! Here in Washington state we have many gray days, and our house is a ray of sunshine. I am so happy to have chosen such a cheery color. Thanks to those of you who gave me input!
(The big electrical wires coming off the front of the house will all go underground soon, we are currently working on that project with our local company. Lucky for me, my hubby is an electrician! )

Never thought paint could make such a dramatic difference. What is the siding that you painted on? Wood, vinyl, aluminum?

The shingles are hardi-plank. And then we primed and painted them.

After I asked that question I realized they couldn’t have been painted on. I looked at your other photos. I have never heard of hardiplank before, but I think I’ll look into it. I love the look.
I am glad to see some updates. I kept waiting and waiting and thought, oh she is going to surprise us really BIG.
