Here is a fun new update on my cottage farmhouse renovation. Our new garage is up and very large and beautiful. If garages can be beautiful? It is so nice to have a clean dry place to park a car!
We really started with a mess on the old garage and outbuildings. They were well…horrible! There was nothing lovely about these buildings except the wonderful barn boards that we salvaged from them.
Here is the BEFORE of the old outbuildings. Yes really bad, I know!
And the tearing down process. Wasn’t as easy as some would think. We rented the equipment and did the demo ourselves. This created a lot of rubbish to clean up. But we survived, and soon saw progress coming.
Here is the new garage going up…
Our beautiful finished product! We love the AFTER result.
In addition to the garage…
-A new well was dug and went way beyond 200 feet.
-A new septic was installed(very boring, but neccessary projects!)

Denise! Wow the garage is great!! I also went back through all of your renovation posts thus far and WOW! I’m totally envious but it’s not our time to do renovations right now. Your house is coming along so nicely. I’d love to come for a visit to see it in person! We have to do that one of these days… a girls’ weekend in Seattle or something!
