I am back! Back for a fresh year and fresh focus at Denise In Bloom. After a two month sabbatical from blogging here, I have returned with more ideas than I know what to do with!
The break was a good time of more rest and intentional living. More time with family, and a chance to recharge my battery, to take a step back to make some decisions about my writing and online business.
I had a dilemma…
Many of you don’t know that I have been maintaining and trying to keep afloat a separate cottage style home decorating website along with this blog. I haven’t really maintained it well, and it needed my attention. That site was a blessing of income for our family over the past few years, and yet I had neglected it, to write here instead-so the income was declining and it was just in need of an overhaul. That decorating website was started back in 2007. (In the days before Twitter and Facebook fan pages and blogs were really scarce and just new on the scene.)
So after some wrestling, and some sound advice from a kind fellow blogger, and the help of my techie smart friend, I was able to find a way to combine my decorating site with this blog! I am so excited about what this means for Denise In Bloom. One big blog with fresh new content to share with all of you!
So while you all thought I was busy just sipping cider and singing Christmas carols over the season, I was also working on this blog to make it fabulous for you, for 2013!
What can you expect here at Denise In Bloom?
I will continue to bring you posts on:

- Heart encouragement

Welcome to the new readers! Since I started directing the traffic over from my decorating site, there are many new readers who have joined here in the last couple months. Welcome to all of you who just came on board with me here at Denise In Bloom.
It is my passion and heart to inspire you as women to flourish in your hearts and homes.
I know what it’s like to be in a home that needs constant work and repairs. I live in a 100 year old farmhouse that needs a new kitchen and a multiple of projects looming at me. I work to keep my self in the place of making the most of my circumstances and making a home that serves my family first above anything perfect or magazine worthy. I am learning slowly how to stay content even when the checkbook doesn’t have enough for a big remodel, and when I am tired of the dripping faucet in need of repair. I want to keep making lemonade from lemons in my home and my life. Would you join me?
New look around here
You will see I have created a fresh look here at Denise In Bloom, and I did this one all by myself this time. I am trying to use my skills and even do the DIY thing with my blog. I am always trying to upgrade and create a space that is pleasing to the eye and a pleasant experience for you–the readers.
